The TWW Waxed Canvas Shop Apron is made from durable black waxed canvas, with leather details, metal hardware, and a comfortable cross-back strap system that keeps the weight off your neck. And while it starts a little stiff, as all waxed canvas does, it only gets better with time. The more you wear it, the more comfortable it gets.

Up top, you’ll find divided chest pockets for pencils, markers, small tools, and your phone. There’s also a velcro strap over the phone pocket to help keep your device (or another tall item) from falling out if you bend over.

Just above the main pocket, there’s a magnetic plate, which is perfect for holding screws, bits, hardware, or that tiny little part you absolutely do not want to lose.

The lower section has two large pockets with flaps that keep the sawdust out. Behind those are two additional pockets that feature button closures. On the right side is a metal clip for a tape measure and on the left is a strap loop for a hammer or what I like to use it for, my lavallier mic. The adjustable waist buckle makes it easy to get a secure fit, and the cross-back straps with pads help keep things comfortable during a long day in the shop.

Finished with reinforced stitching, leather accents, and a TWW leather patch, this apron is built for woodworking, finishing, carving, turning, and general shop abuse.

A Quick Note About the Wax

Since this apron is made from waxed canvas, you'll notice the materials feels very stiff. This is perfectly normal. Over time, your body will warm the wax and regular movement will help the wax flex and conform to your body. Soon enough, it'll fit like an old pair of jeans. If you want to speed up the process, consider spreading the apron on a flat surface and rolling it tightly in both directions several times each. You can even try to crumble up the apron into a large ball to help try to break up the stiff wax. Please note, black waxed canvas can and will have white hazy spots as the wax is disturbed. Again, this is perfectly normal. If if bothers you, gently warm the white areas with a blow dryer. The heat helps the wax settle back into the canvas and darken up again. As time goes on, the color will even out as it breaks in.
