You should buy one. This thing is awesome. The shape fits in my hand perfectly and the mechanism that holds the sand paper in place is really clever. Seeing it on screen is one thing but this sanding block is ten times better in person. 10/10
I bought this to replace my old sanding block. I was tired of plastic handle and having to disassemble the unit to replace papers. This bock is exactly what I have been missing in my shop for hand sanding. It has a solid weight to it, but not tiresome heavy. Replacing the paper is a breeze now. Just a quick lever flip on each end and it's done.
Easy to change paper, nice large reference surface, got 2 and will probably get more in the future.
Much more “robust” than I thought it would be which is great! It’s bigger and heftier than the pics seem to show. Hoping to give it a real workout on a hard maple coffee table currently sitting on my bench waiting for final sanding.
Love the block. Rounds out my collection of all 5 colors. The added sanding paper, grit decals and other stickers are an added bonus. The Preppin' Weapon Sanding blocks are a great tool for the shop.

I’m stunned that a simple block like this can make sanding so much easier. I always used offcuts as sanding blocks. Never again. Having a large, padded and easily gripped block makes a much bigger difference than I could have imagined. Why? (1) bigger surface area in contact with the wood and (2) that surface area is dead flat.
I really like these sanding blocks. The grip, the weight and the surface size are all great. I’ve had a couple of them for a few years. I decided to get a couple more to keep prepped and ready at different dedicated grits. I also liked the suggestion of stacking a couple sheets on one and being able to tear on off. This is working well with having a couple more at dedicated grits.
What I like most about this sanding block are: ergonomic design that naturally fits your fingers, an attachment mechanism that is super easy to use and very secure, and, it really does use 4 cuts of a standard sheet of sandpaper, with NO waste. And it's really solid!
I love the block, It fits my hand well and holds the sandpaper secure. Very handy for edge sanding and easing edges.
I have several preppin weapons, a color for each grit. Best sanding block that I have used.
These are great accessories for any shop! Is highly recommend them to all woodworkers.
I am the proud owner of the yellow, red, green and now a purple one. No I’m not talking about M&Ms but the Preppin Weapon Sanding Blocks! Each of mine has a unique grit, and yes the decals really help. I’ve been using these for a good while, they are really comfortable in the hand, easy to reload paper, and just make my time in the shop much more efficient.
I've been using them in both wood working and metal working for about 20 years or so. Great practical product.

I've had one of these since I Saw Marc use this on the show since the early 10's. When he brought out the other colors and with free sand paper I thought it was a great idea. Before these, I used sticky back sand paper wrapped a square block of wood. I had to change them often, it was difficult to get the glue off and the hard square made my hand tired.
I use these every day. A flat reference surface is critical to good sanding.
I have quite a few sanding devices in the shop, but the Preppin' Weapon is the first one that I actually *like* using. The results are far better than any other sanding block and it is extremely comfortable to use.
This is a big upgrade from what I had been using for hand sanding which was wood or rubber sanding blocks. I appreciate the length and rigidity of the product. Changing out the paper is quick and the retention devices make it easy to get a tight fit. The fact you can stack multiple sheets and tear them off as you go is a nice convenience as well. I'll be purchasing more in different colors to preload with various grits.
I really like the heft and how big it is. I normally make one off creations with large surface areas. And I always finish hand sanding with the grain. This fits the bill for those specific situations. Thanks, Marc for a great invention! 👍

I’ve seen these around for quite a while but could not figure out what they were called so I ended up getting small, cheap set. Enter Preppin’ Weapons. The comfort and stability offered by the Preppin’ Weapons is night and day over my cheap set. Ordered a 4th one because I liked them so much. Also, the extras thrown in by TWW is a great bonus!
I got the sander but did not get the 6 sheets of sandpaper. It fits my hand nicely and saves time with small sanding tasks
