Stuck on a project? Confused by conflicting advice? Just need a second opinion from someone who’s been there?

That’s exactly what these consultations are for.

Woodworking can be a lonely hobby. A lot of folks don’t have a trusted friend, mentor, or shop buddy to bounce ideas off of. And while YouTube can be a great resource, it can also leave you more confused than when you started. One person says buy this tool, another says don’t bother. One video says your design will work, another makes you question the whole thing. Before long, you’re spinning your wheels instead of making sawdust.

A consultation with Marc gives you the chance to talk things through with an experienced woodworker who can help you cut through the noise and get pointed in the right direction.

This can be helpful if you want input on things like:

• tool purchases and whether something is actually worth the money
• shop layout and workflow improvements
• project design and construction questions
• wood movement, joinery, and material selection
• finishing choices and general process questions
• troubleshooting a build that isn’t going as planned
• deciding between multiple approaches and figuring out what makes the most sense
• getting clarity when online research has only made things murkier

Sometimes all you really need is a sounding board. Someone to help you think through the options, avoid a costly mistake, or just give you the confidence to move forward.

How it works:

After your purchase, we’ll reach out by email to schedule your consultation with Marc. Most sessions run between 30 and 60 minutes.

You’re welcome to come with a list of questions, project details, or anything else you’d like to discuss, but you don’t need a formal agenda. If you’d rather keep it more relaxed, that works too. Whether it’s a focused Q&A or just a casual conversation, having a few topics in mind will help you get the most out of your time.

If Marc feels he’s not the right person to help with your situation, which is rare, we’ll refund you in full.

Consultations are typically held via Zoom, but other arrangements can be made upon request.
